At the 2009 BlackBerry Developer Conference, the intentions and interests of the Canadian company Research In Motion were made evident about bringing the BlackBerry Developer Platform to South American countries. And the company did live up to their commitment and kept their word of bringing the platform into South America. The company has made known its plans to conduct Developer Day events in South America. The events have been scheduled for the 8th, 9th and the 11th of March 2010. They will be held in South America across three different countries. The events will all be held in the local language.

The three Developer Day events will be held at Santiago in Chile, Buenos Aires in Argentina and Sao Paolo in Brazil. The event in Santiago will take place on the 8th of March; that at Buenos Aires is scheduled for the 9th of March while the Developer Day in Sao Paolo will be held on the 11th of March. At the Developer Day events, the representatives from Research In motion will focus on bringing and introducing the BlackBerry Development Platform into South America. For the three days, the various sessions that are going to be conducted have been planned with limited space in between the events. Hence if you are eager to register then it must be done without delay.

The schedule for the various events for the Developer Days have been timed out as follows- an introduction from 8:45 to 9:00, from 9 to 9:30- Experience from a Local Partner – Successful Application on BlackBerry (Success Story), from 9:30 to 10:30- Getting Started with the BlackBerry Development Platform followed by a break from 10:30 to 10:45. After the break from 10:45 to 11:45 a session called In the Know: Understanding BlackBerry Web and Widget Development will be held, from 11:45 to 12:45- Why Java®? Understand the Advantages and Features of the BlackBerry Java® Development Platform followed by lunch break from 12:45 to 1:45.

After the break, the events are as follows: from 1:45 to 2:30- Overview of the BlackBerry Alliance Program, from 2:30 to 3:30- Leveraging the BlackBerry Platform Services – Advertising, Payment, Push, Location and BlackBerry App World™ followed by a break from 3:30 to 3:45. From 3:45 to 4:45 a presentation on The BlackBerry Experience – Creating Integrated and Compelling Applications will be held followed by a Wrap up and a Q& A session from 4:45 to 5:30.
