LockDown- Keep your files locked away!

You must have encountered situations where you didn’t want anyone to view the files on your phone. After all there could be sensitive information contained in your BlackBerry that calls for some security. With LockDown, you can be at peace that your files are locked and secure from general view.

WHAT IT DOES?

LockDown v0.1.00 has been developed by Backroom Software LLC. Using this secure application, the important files in your BlackBerry can be protected from general view and be kept safe and secure, rendering it impossible to access those files outside the application. This feature is achieved through two menu items added to the FileExplorer menu, namely LockDown and Secure LockDown.

FEATURES

Security is the key point of the application LockDown. Not only will the application keep your files safe, the application itself is password protected. So there is no chance of someone else prying into your files. LockDown not only hides the files but also renames them and encrypts them, thus making it virtually impossible to get access to them. The list of the filenames that are secured and the password are all saved in back up files so that in the event of an OS upgrade, the information can be restored to the device without any problems.

When inside LockDown, you will be presented with a list of all the hashed file names and a corresponding info button. The info button will present you with details like the original name of the file, the location of that file in your phone. You will also get options to unlock the file for the time that the application is open or unlock it permanently. The list of the files that have been secured can also be filtered by their residing folders. You can do this using the BB button. Moreover, when you close the application or reboot your device, the secured files are automatically relocked by LockDown preventing the occurrence of any device reset.
