Pageonce announces one million registered users and $10M in funding
The day marked an important milestone for Pageonce as their number of registered users touched the one million mark. The company, a leading personal assistant in mobile finance and travel, has also announced that it closed a $6.5 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Pitango Venture Capital, a leading Israeli Venture firm. Following this the total raised amount reached the $10 million mark.
Pageonce’s board of directors will also see a new member in Pitango Partner, Eitan Bek. He has expressed his excitement in being associated with Pageonce, saying that “Pageonce has the right management team and a unique proposition to build a big company” and he is hopeful of it becoming a household consumer name in the days to come.
Personal Assistant, a Pageonce’s award-winning flagship product is the leading personal finance and travel application with more than a million registered users through its cross platform applications. It is currently ranked number one in the Android and BlackBerry app store, and has been in the top 20 in the iPhone store for over a year.
Personal Assistant gives its customers a one-touch access to important personal information, presenting it in an easy to read format. It also provides reminders and updates for important events, travel itineraries, any fraudulent spending on their credit cards and much more. No doubt more and more users have created profiles and set up their personal information. They need to provide the information once, and that’s it. Just using the username and password of the customer, Pageonce presents their data on a smartphone. Mobile Minute Tracker is also handy in keeping count of the minutes spent talking over the phone and hence the bills.
Apart from reaching the one million customers mark, Pageonce has also witnessed welcome changes in Jim Scheinman, who has joined the company as the Chief Operating Officer. Bebo’s first employee and a member of the board of directors, Scheinman will be in charge of overseeing business strategy, business development, sale and marketing of Pageonce. Another addition to the company is Mark Goines, the former GM of Quicken/Intuit and early investor and board of member of Mint, who joined as an investor and an advisor.
Guy Goldstein, CEO of Pageonce, has expressed his excitement and thrill in partnering with Pitango and their goal of conquering the personal information management category on the mobile platform apart from personal finance management and travel.
