Get a glimpse of the new BlackBerry Pearl 9100!
All you fans of the BlackBerry Pearl range of phones, here’s something special and exciting for you. A number of snapshots of the latest BlackBerry Pearl 9100, which is yet to hit the market, have been posted on the Internet. It sure looks like a great phone with its cool and swanky appearance.
As is expected, the BlackBerry Pearl is a really handsome device with looks to die for. It has incorporated all the basic features and elements of the original Pearl, but is packaged in an updated fashion with the current design language of Research In Motion. There have been changes in its hardware and some software as well in keeping with the updating process. The most striking feature is the optical trackpad that has come to replace the trackball. The white illuminated trackball which gave Pearl its name is longer a part of this new Pearl 9100. It is time for the trackpad using which the users will interact. It is not that only Pearl 9100 is going to sport the trackpad, rather it has been deployed across many other handsets of Research In Motion. So it is evident that the trackpad is the new reality when it comes to on-screen navigation with the BlackBerry’s.
There are some other noticeable changes as well. For example, the keyboard design which looks similar in configuration to the original has been modified in that the keys appear to have been shaped a bit differently. Also the Pearl 9100 has a slim profile. For this, it has a SureType 20-key keypad, which offers two letters per key. To make typing easy and fast, it is also using software that will try to figure out what the user is typing and thus make suggestions. All in all, it sure sounds like a convenient phone.
Overall, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 looks suave and swanky, polished and spectacular just as its name suggests. The fit and finish is superb, due to the top quality materials that have been used in its making. We don’t know for sure about the size of the new Pearl, as the guys at CrankBerry.com didn’t put the clicks of the Pearl 9100 beside its predecessor. But whatever the case maybe, the phone is attractive and we just have to wait for it to be released as there has been no news of its release form Research In Motion.
