I Love The iPhone, But I’m Keeping My Blackberry

Eric wrote some interesting story about his iPhone experience from the view of a BlackBerry user. We have selected some interesting key phrase to wrap that up for you:

The email client on the iPhone is many ways better than the Blackberry phone. [...] deleting messages on the iPhone actually deletes them from Exchange, which is not the case with my Blackberry.

I’ve also experienced long inexplicable periods where I simply stop receiving email; the Blackberry never does that unless the server goes down.

Since I have not been relying on the iPhone as my primary mobile phone - that’s still my Blackberry’s job - I’ve taken to simply shutting the phone off during periods when I don’t need it.

The Blackberry I use - an 8700c - can get through several days on a single charge, and I basically never even think about actually shutting it off.

To summarize this: the iPhone is fancy, its email client seems to be quite good, but the BlackBerry is better, more reliable and has better battery performance.
