Solar Charger with flattened BlackBerry 8700v – REAL LIFE TEST charging from 0 to 100%
I hope you remember our last hardware review about the Solar Charger for BlackBerry. I used the free Solar Charger I received from the manufacturer to make a serious “real life testing” with the old BlackBerry 8700v. I actually just flattened the battery (playing around until the battery is empty) and then charged it completely from scratch. So we could see how long that takes.
So the battery was empty and the solar charger was fully charged as I placed it on my car’s dashboard for some hours while driving around. Then I connected the solar charger to my BlackBerry 8700v (can’t risk to get my primary BlackBerry Curve go flat; I need email all the time!). That looks like this:
Results:
- Started charging at: 10:42 a.m.
- Finished charging at: 12:16 a.m.
- Duration of charging a flattened BlackBerry 8700v: 94 minutes ~1.5 hours
That’s quite normal power output, what do you think?
