RIM is very restrictive in matters of specific numbers of BlackBerry users. Even as a BlackBerry Alliance member you cannot get information about their customer base in a country. India’s government now stated that there are just 114,000 BlackBerry subscribers.
The government claimed that the country has just about 114,000 Blackberry subscribers in the country. This was stated by the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication

With a mobile subscriber base of 260 millions there seems still to be a lot of potential. And when you start to look on India’s whole population (1+ bln.) you can imagine what’s up for us over ther!
