Red BlackBerry Curve 8310 at AT&T stores in the USA
Just got the note below from our loyal reader “Joker”. It seems the GPS-enabled BlackBerry Curve 8310 is now available in the states!

Just a heads up guys, bought myself the new 8310 Curve this evening at a local AT&T store. Hasn’t been released on their website, the big box retailers or indie authorized retailers. Just AT&T. I was the first sold from that store, and they just came in unannounced last evening.

Thanks a lot for the tip!

    Hi!
The BlackBerry Curve 8310 also is available since this month here in Chile (and GPS-enabled, with maps and streets).
This is a great news because previously we have the 8800 in my country, but without GPS service at all.
    Greetings!

I bought the BB 8310 Curve with GPS and Vodafone Compass installed. It keeps the maps centrally and serves them to your BB, charges you an annual fee for doing this. Its an ok app but beware if anyone tells you that you always get fresh current maps don’t believe them, there are still major roads 12 months old that haven’t been added here.

Compass is no good for cyclists or outdoors stuff, I want to use it on my bike for outdoors stuff - is there an app i can get a readout like Trimpble Allsports platinum which shows speed and stuff, but which lets you upload onto google earth without paying a monthly fee to the carrier? Somehting smple like my wife’s Nokia 6110 running the nokia sports tracker software?
