Alltel Wireless announced today the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition smartphone will now be available to customers. Developed by Research In Motion , the BlackBerry 8830 World Edition is the first BlackBerry smartphone to combine technologies that allow it to connect to both CDMA and GSM/GPRS networks.

Unlike Verizon Alltel seems to bring its 8830 World Edition with an activated internal GPS receiver. That’s a good thing as we all like those kinds of gadgets that already built-in and so they can also be activated 
So MobileTracker - one of my current favorite GPS applications can be used on this phone as well. Great!
