BlackBerry in China - some correct facts

I was wondering that some news sites as well as blogs were reporting that the BlackBerry gets green light for China. Well guys, the BlackBerry has been in available in China Mainland for several months already. Below you will see a map of China and the cities where the BlackBerry and BlackBerry services are available for quite a long time already.

The list from top down of the cities reads as followed: Beijing (北京), Tianjin (天津), Nanjing (å?—京), Shanghai (上海), Hangzhou (æ?å·ž), Guangzhou (广州).

There’s confirmed roaming coverage ( http://www.blackberryforums.com/blackberry-network/6141-bb-china.html ), but how long have you been able to sell BlackBerrys in China? Source?

You can get 50M download via GPRS for 20RMB/month here via China Mobile.
It’s easy to enable, just ask for ‘bao yue WAP fuwu’ (pay-per-month WAP services) and they’ll show you the list of options. There are also lower options (5RMB/month, etc.).
I never used a blackberry or even saw one but from what I hear its just a regular email client via GPRS… why this stuff is news i dunno

Hi friends, I plan to buy a Blackberry Curve 8830 probably in Germany to use it here in China for work and business. I would like to know if anyone has an update to the discussed topics here. Is this model available to buy in China? Does anyone make experiences with roaming and it’s suitability? Would be great to hear from you, tks a lot

i have a blackberry 8320, i am currently in Shanghai, China and i would like to know how do i get the blackberry service? my phone supports wifi. I want to use the blackberry service like push email, blackberry messenger, etc. I called china mobile and they did not give me a write answer. If anyone can give me an idea on this would be really nice.
