, Dr Edward Hallowell tells us story about one of his patients.
“Is it normal,” she asks in all sincerity, “that my husband lays his BlackBerry down next to us when we make love?”
A US survey shows that Blackberry owners are more likely to be chained to their work. According to that study 19 per cent of BlackBerry-owners claimed to work more than 50 hours a week and more than half felt they didn’t have enough personal time.
But the most interesting sentence is:
The addiction to the BlackBerry is part of a bigger story about how we are all more and more dependent on emails, mobile phones and text messages.
An that is the point! It’s not about the BlackBerry or any other device, it is about life in general. We’re just living in a world of information where you are at the top when you have access to all information you need.
