Spot - new devices supported (BlackBerry 8707g and Palm Treo 680)
![]()
My favorite GPS and mapping software now supports the UMTS BlackBerry 8707g which is only available in Asia/Pacific. So you guys out there in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, … can take advantage of your fast networks and get high speed map downloads
So here is the original quote from them:
The current version of Spot now officially supports the new Palm Treo 680 and BlackBerry 8707g if used with an external Bluetooth GPS receiver. Especially the UMTS BlackBerry 8707g brings Spot to the Asia/Pacific market with its fast UMTS networks for high-speed map downloads.
Besides, the Palm Treo 680 is now officially supported too. As - compared to the Treo 650 - there is nothing different than the price, I guess “Spot” was runnable on this device before too.
You can get the BlackBerry 8707g in Asia/Pacific at:
- Australia
- Hong Kong
- Indonesia
- Macau
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
