Pearl Software Review: Create your own BlackBerry Videos!

News from the Pearl-Front. As everyone knows the Pearl natively supports videos. We love it and in general multimedia is a good thing. However, the problem is: How do I get a video optimized for my Pearl? Expecially, what is the best resolution, best aspect rate, best video / audio codec and so on… There is an answer:

This new BlackBerry Video Creator enables you to create videos optimized for your Pearl. Summarized, you need two steps to get your already available movie file from your desktop to your BlackBerry. Select and (automatically) convert the movie using the BlackBerry Video Creator and a new file appears in your directory named like OLDNAME_BB.avi so there was a “_BB” suffix added to the old file name. Now you just transfer the new movie file to your BlackBerry and you can watch it

I like the nice installer which easily installs the program. Right now I can only use it on my Windows PC; Mac OS X is not supported yet. As there is no more information I cannot say whether they will support some day or not. However, a neat tool which seems to be useful for all the Pearl Enthusiastics all over the world.

This software uses the exact same FREE encoding engine my software uses but they charge you for it. Just download my software, free, and you will experience wonderful results. From those that know both their generator and my converter, people favor mine for simplicity and DVD support.
