There are many E-Book Readers and ebooks for Palm and PocketPC PDAs but for a long time BlackBerry users were neglected. There are however some good solutions on the market:

1. PDF based Ebooks
   There are a couple of programs for the Blackberry to view PDF documents. As there are many PDB-based ebooks on the market, this seems to be the obvious solution. There is one problem however. PDF documents are allways trageted to a specific size i.e. letter or A4. That means that in most PDF documents you will not have a line break at the right end of the displayed text and need to scroll the ebook horizontal AND vertical, which is quite inconvinient.
2. Blackberry Ebooks which include a reader application
   MobileSoftMarket.com has a selection of ebooks and ebook packages which include a Blackberry Ebook Reader. The included Ebook Reader allows comfortable reading supporting the Thumbwheel, different fonts and font sizes.
   
3. Build your own Blackberry ebook with free software
   for all the hackers, here is a solution on how to build your own Blackberry ebook:
   - get the TequilaCat BookReader and Shell
   - split your ebooks in text files less than 64kb
   - covert th txt file to jad/jar using the Shell
   - generate a cod/alx file from jad/jar using the free BlackBerry JDE
   - use the BlackBerry Desktop to install the ebook
